Negative effects of rapid weight loss with strict diets

1.Quickly regaining the lost weight. Rapid weight loss is not only dangerous to your health, but also short-lived. When you lose weight quickly, the body gets used to operate with fewer calories and slows down your metabolism.

2.Depression and eating disorders. The reduced number of calories affect you mental you health and can cause depression or turn starvation into a habit and lead to eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia.

3.Slowed metabolism. The drastic reduction of calories leads to slower metabolism. The excessive dietary restrictions  activate the basic survival mechanism of your body - the body's metabolism slows to burn less calories so it can survive a longer period of time.

4.Exhaustion. Keep in mind that food is fuel to your body. When the body does not get enough calories, it will fail to carry out normal activities. 

5.Dehydration and headaches.Avoiding fluids in order to see a lower number on the scale is the wrong tactic for weight loss leading to dehydration. Headaches are a result of either dehydration or low blood sugar caused by starvation.
